Invisalign Clear Braces Cypress, Texas 77429
An excellent alternative to metal brackets and wires used with traditional braces are clear plastic aligners. Invisalign is the registered trade name of a patented clear aligner product used in place of brackets and wires to straighten patients’ crooked teeth, deep bites, over bite, or excessive bite wear on the teeth. Each aligner in the set is designed to move the teeth closer and closer to the desired end position. The aligners are almost invisible and are removable when eating or for any special occasion. The aligners do not affect your speech, and because they are virtually invisible, no one will be able to tell you are even wearing braces.
The Invisalign process begins with completing a three-dimensional image of the teeth, then, by applying computer technology, developing a treatment plan designed to move the teeth to their final position. From measurements taken of the teeth and jaw, a set of Invisalign clear plastic aligners are custom made for each patient. Each aligner in the set is slightly different from the others and each, in turn, applies the correct pressure to the teeth, progressively shifting the teeth to their desired positions.
There are many advantages to Invisalign. First, they are nearly invisible when being worn. The aligners are made from a clear high-tech plastic material and are inconspicuous when you smile or talk. This ‘invisibility’ is especially important to adults in the workplace or various social settings. Second, the aligners are removable when eating or for any other event.
Finally, the process of using clear removable aligners is often shorter than using traditional metal braces and often requires less of the patient’s time in the dentist’s chair. Check-up, measurement of movement, and adjustments to plan, if any, are accomplished quickly and easily, saving time and effort.
Because each Invisalign aligner set is custom made, the pressures applied to each tooth has been carefully calculated and ‘built’ into each of the clear aligners. Designing the aligners is done through a proprietary computer process based on a thorough analysis of the patient’s teeth and bone structure. A 3-D model is simulated for the existing teeth as well as for the desired positioning following alignment. This model provides the basis for designing and building the clear aligner set.
